Making a Difference in Our Community
The Power of Volunteering and Donating
Volunteering has many great benefits! It helps build connections between people and community, and is a wonderful way to meet new friends. As part of our organization, we are committed to making the world around us better by finding meaningful ways for individuals to lend their time and donating to many worthy causes that support our community. Through volunteering activities like cleaning up parks, helping out at Ronald McDonald House, or working with animals at shelters, anyone can make an impact on the lives of others while also feeling empowered themselves. We invite you join us as we work together towards creating a brighter future for everyone!
Phlocking Events and Charities
Adopt a Roadway Project
Our 2nd Bi-Annual project day was a great success! 18 sharks participated to help make Christie Drive look clean and beautiful! Thank you to everyone who helped make this new project a huge success! Even with the threat of monsoon rain and wind, it held off till we completed the clean up! Thank you ALL!

Ronald McDonald House
Chef for a Day
A great way to give back! Each quarter a team of club members get together in the kitchen and cook up a great meal for all the guests at the house. It can be as many as 40+ guests. We just finished serving our 4th of July Picnic with Burgers, Hot dogs, Beans, Macaroni salad, and deserts. What a great time giving back and having fun!

Adopt-A-Park
Once a month our club volunteers for the litter clean up program thru Adopt-A-Park to meet at Brandi Fenton Park. We split up and clean all the bike paths, as well as the roadside landscaping, and around all the sports fields throughout. Afterward we meet for a great breakfast and conversation.

Wreaths Across America
Sponsored by the Veteran's Administration.
Annually we meet at the Veteran's cemetary to volunteer to lay wreaths on all the Veteran's graves. We also attend the ceremony prior to the wreath laying. Our club also donates wreaths as well.

Emerge, Center Against Domestic Violence
Each year at the holidays our club members come together at our December Happy Hour and bring donations we collect to give to the center. The guests who are staying at the center are so appreciative for the gifts.

Red Cross Benefit
Trying to Reason with Monsoon Season!
August 2nd, we had a club gathering to enjoy the pool, great food, and the Monsoon Heat at Kim and Lloyd Peterson's home, co hosted by Jen and Ben. We had a raffle to sell tickets to raise funds to be donated to the American Red Cross. And of course, we had great food and lots of catching up from our summer vacations.

Stamp Out Hunger
Saturday May 11th, 12:30 to 3:30, we will be participated with the "Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive" in collecting food off the postal trucks when they arrived at the post office. We were at the office located at 975 Silverbell Road.

Ben's Bells event
Ben's Bells are colorful ceramic ornaments hung in communities throughout the world as symbols of kindness for people to find and take home. We joined them again for our semi annual event to help them make the Bells that will be distributed in Tucson. It represents an entire community coming together to make one person's day a little kinder. What a great time had by all who attended!
WALK TO END ALZHEIMERS
Saturday, October 25th, we had a group of members represent the Desert Sharks PHC and walked in the Alzheimer's walk. Our club is still receiving donations to try to reach our goal of $1,000. The weather was beautiful for a great walk and a fantastic breakfast afterwards. Thank you everyone who participated and donated.
